The Island’s Largest Garden Fair is returning this September and is offering a host of activities, demonstrations and displays across the weekend!
Wolverton’s ‘Hare Garden’ hosts, West Wight Alpacas, IOW Donkey Sanctuary and Haven Falconry, displaying their beautiful birds of prey, and showing two demonstrations of their birds, live in action, each day at 11am and 3pm.
David Randini host a Magic Moments show each day on the manor lawn, followed up in the afternoon by a classic ‘Punch & Judy’ show! Also on the lawn, we see Elizabethan re-enactments & dancing with Passamezzo along with their still room, cookery demos, and Annie the Pedlar.
The Country & Moat field hosts Chainsaw carving with Paul Sivell, a live action Viking re-enactment by Wolfguard (Saturday at 11.30am) alongside many demonstrations from Ability Dogs 4 Young People’s across the weekend.
Each Day at 3.15pm local obedience group ‘Barking Mad’ host a fun dog show, inviting everyone to enter their pooches into some fun filled rounds with the chance of winning a rosette!
There is live music in the barn area on Saturday by Steve Love and Sunday but Wight Ukers, and on the Manor lawn throughout the day on Sunday is music by Last Orders.
Wolverton Manor Garden Fair offers a variety of displays by IOW Embroiderers, IOW Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers, IOW Coppice group, Vectis Historic Vehicle Club, Vectis Vintage Tractor & Engines, Vintage Military Vehicles, Brothers of the Third Wheel Classic Bikes, and the American Auto Club.
They also have a Scouts Kids Zone, Vectis Searchers metal detectors, beautiful Vintage amusements, bouncy castles & slides all running alongside their showground of over 150 garden & craft exhibitors showcasing their wares.
